DisplayPort (DP) is an advanced connection for transferring video and audio. It is known for its high 4K x 2K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) and is a competitor to the DVI and HDMI standards. DisplayPort supports up to four displays of 1920 x 1200 pixels each and two displays of 2560 x 1600 pixels each over a single cable. The cable has 28AWG conductors and gold-plated connectors.

DANBIT recommends a maximum cable length of 15 metres.

Gold-plated connectors prevent corrosion and ensure a continuous, good connection between connectors.

Use of 28 AWG thick copper conductors minimizes signal loss.

The plug has a mechanical lock, which ensures that the plug does not fall out when, for example, tremors.
