Rs232 and RS485 via radio signals.
Wireless connection between serial equipment over large distances
With M485 radio I, wireless connection between a central PC or PLC can be established and all Types M485 modules up to 700 m, as cabling is replaced by radio connections between M485 radio-in modules. The M485 radio I can be used as a slave or as a master. From a master module can be communicated with several different groups, each consisting of a slave M485 radio I, coupled to a number of common M485 modules, PLCs, PCs, or otherwise.
M485 radio I can e.g. Used in measurement on transportable equipment or in situations where it is impossible or impractical to use ordinary cabling.
Note that the M485 radio I can also be used independently. Eg. Two PCs can communicate wirelessly through the serial ports (full duplex), or a PC can communicate with multiple PLCs (half duplex).
Measurement systems with M485 radio-I and other M485- Modules work in every respect as a common cable-based network with M485 modules. From PC or PLC, commands from the Master module are sent out to all slave modules - and thus to all other modules. Only the module addressed by the command sends a reply back, which then activates the transmitter in the connected slave module (M485 radio I). In this way, conflicts are avoided, although all radio modules are transmitting and receiving at the same frequency.
