TEST-LAN-M-P is a handheld multifunctional network tester with integrated on- or offline testing of cables, devices, lengths and telephone lines.
In online test function where TEST-LAN-M-P ping network devices such as routers, switches, network printers and PCs etc. and the IP address, host name and MAC address of the ping address are mapped.
In offline test mode, TEST-LAN-M-P operates as a cable tester.
In addition to the network tester, 4 remote modules are included to attach the cable at the opposite end, so that TEST-LAN-M-P can test network cables that have already been pulled.
In addition, the TEST-LAN-M-P has an integrated digital tone generator and a gate finder feature to track and identify cables.
Cables configured differently from regular network cables can be “learned” by TEST-LAN-M-P and then tested.
Displays Ethernet port status and can determine speed up to 1 Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps).
Can ping routers, DNS servers and other network devices.
Searches the network and maps (folders) all hosts with IP address and finds the host name or MAC address.
Finds yourself the service used (HTTP / Telnet / DHCP / FTP and SNMP).
Has port finder to find the port to which the cable is connected, such as in a switch.
The connections in the cable appear in a pin-to-pin format.
The tester even recognizes the remote units by ID numbers 1 - 4.
Tester Cat. 5, 5E, 6 and 7 network cables. Other cables can be created by calibrating the conductors.
Tone generator function sends a single or double tone on all legs, choose from 4 tones.
Low battery indication and auto power off screen for power saving.
Can test the voltage level on telephone lines to ensure against possible surge.
Test length for cables: 1 ~ 300 meters.
Accuracy: ± 2m for cables less than 10 meters, ± 5% for cables greater than 10 meters.
