Ved brug af coax-kabel kan PoE-forbindelsen forlænges op til 500 meter ved brug af ETH-POE-BOOST-C-U.

ETH-POE-BOOST-C-U består af en sender og en modtager. Sender og modtager forbindes med et coax-kabel og senderen tilsluttes en PoE-switch via RJ45 porten og sender spændingen videre over coax-kablet til modtageren der dermed kan forsyne en PoE-enhed såsom kamera eller accesspoint.
